Jaylin White, Jackson, and Whaley were each booked for attempted murder. Harold White and McBride were arrested on suspicion of being an adjunct to attempted murder.

Jackson, Jaylin White, and Whaley "were involved within the robbery and shooting of the victim," the police statement said.

"Detectives don't believe the suspects were targeting the victim due to the dogs' owner," consistent with the LAPD. "However, the evidence indicates that the suspects knew the good value of the dog breed and the motive behind the theft."

Investigators identified McBride because the woman who brought the dogs to the LAPD's Olympic Community police headquarters, around 6 p.m. two days after they were taken.

The l. a. The district attorney's office later announced that charges had been filed within the case and charges were expected on Thursday afternoon.

"This was a brazen street crime that left one person seriously injured," said George Jackson. "We have alleged very serious charges during this case and have faith that justice is going to be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court."

The defendants appeared in court late Thursday afternoon and everyone entered acquitted pleas, with their next court appearance scheduled for May 11. Bail was ordered at $3 million for Jackson, $1 million for Jaylin White, $1.1 million for Whaley, and $35,000 for Harold White. McBride was released on her recognizance with a requirement for ankle monitoring.

In February, the LAPD said the identity and therefore the location where the dogs were found wouldn't be disclosed for the woman's safety and sense of the continued investigation.

"Detectives were ready to establish McBride had a relationship with the daddy of 1 of the suspects, Harold White," police said in Thursday's news release.

Jackson, Whaley, Jaylin White, and Harold White are all documented gang members from l. a., the LAPD said.

The dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was walking the singer's three French bulldogs when the shooting and theft happened around 9:40 p.m. on Feb. 24 within the 1500 block of North Sierra Bonita Avenue, consistent with authorities.

Lady Gaga herself was in Rome to shoot a movie at foreplay time.

Fischer survived the shooting and therefore the dogs were recovered unharmed after the singer offered a $500,000 reward within the case, no questions asked.
