 Boy Who Was Mauled Saving His Sister From Dog Has Scars Transformed

A little boy who heroically saved his younger sister from a dog attack has made an interesting recovery after a team of doctors offered to figure on his facial scars for free of charge.

Little Bridger Walker, six, was mauled after he put himself between the dog and his sister last summer, sustaining several bites to his face and being left needing 90 stitches.

After hearing his incredible story, two renowned dermatologists, Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali and Dr. Cory B. Maughan offered to figure on Bridger's scars completely free.

They even called in their pal Dr. Sandra Lee, better referred to as Dr. Pimple Popper, to assist calm Bridger's nerves.

Bridger, from Cheyenne in Wyoming, is undergoing high-tech laser treatments to assist make his scars less visible.

Dr. Bhanusali told the Daily Mail: "Every once during a while, we encounter patients who do more for us than we will ever do for them.

"Bridger inspired me and during a time where such a lot of negativity was surrounding the planet, he provided hope and represented all that's good.

"It is my greatest privilege to undertake and help, and while a couple of folks may get the credit, this story is more about the dermatology world coming together to assist a touch boy who is a hero.

"We are fortunate to be during a place where we will help heal and I am just thankful to be a part of this excellent dermatology community."

While undergoing treatment, Dr. Bhanusali sent a text to Dr. Lee to inform her the youngster was an enormous fan of her work and asking her if she would say 'hello' to him to assist calm his nerves.

Dr. Lee said: "How could I say no? it is so wonderful that both Dr. Bhanusali and Dr. Maughan are helping him improve his scars.

"Although I'm indirectly involved in his care, if I can do anything to form Bridger easier and remind him what a brave, kind, good young man he's, I'm there.

"I am the lucky one - that Bridger knows my name and that I have the chance to satisfy him. he's in great hands, and that I anticipate to following his progress."

Bridger's dad Robert told the American Academy of Dermatology Association: "After going above and beyond to supply support, encouragement, and expert care, Dr. Bhanusali reinforced our appreciation for the life-changing care that dermatologists provide.

"My family will always be grateful to him for locating an innovative treatment solution to assist our son. Bridger won't be constantly reminded of the attack when looking within the mirror and may return to his childhood, nearly unscarred."
